There are tons of trending topics in health and fitness and we will take a look at a few of those on this episode of under Ten Fitness.
Starting with ESPN’s Body magazine issue. In this magazine they show tasteful nude pictures of athletes from tennis players, swimmers, Olympians and more but, what’s really interesting about this issue is that they don’t just focus on the athletes that have six packs and perfect (or what some people might deem perfect) bodies. They say in the article that bodies come in all shapes and sizes and it’s true. Depending on what sport you play your body type will play a huge roll in how effective you can be. For example, imagine a linebacker playing professional football who weighs 135 pounds. That linebacker would get smooshed out there on the field, not all sports require the same body type. Also this is something important to think about because not everyone is built to be a 300 football player just like not everyone is built to be a runway model. Neither one is bad but you can’t choose what body type you’re born with but you can choose to love and accept the one you’re given.
Next in this episode is a beauty pageant winner who is sent to jail after getting caught lying about having cancer to get donations for her pageant campaign. A 23 year old Pennsylvania women lied about having leukemia and received 14,000 in charitable donations. Not only did the woman lie about having cancer but she accepted money from people who thought they were helping someone who was suffering with cancer, taking advantage of people’s generous nature and wanting to help someone.
Also a woman goes on a 30 day challenge to move for 30 minutes a day and tells us all of the great benefits of moving daily.
